The 2023 Gurley Leep 100 Black Men of Greater South Bend Scholarship recipient is Juhan Taylor. Juhan began with the 100 Black Men when he was in junior high school and his mentor has been Don Wycliff. He is 18 years old and is a 2023 graduate from Riley High School and will be attending Indiana University South Bend in the fall, studying graphic design.
Juhan is heavily involved in the South Bend community and helps in activities with the 100 Black Men of Greater South Bend, the National Association of Community & Restorative Justice, the South Bend Civic Theatre and nine of the great clubs at Riley High School. In his free time he enjoys hanging out with his friends and working on art pieces for this upcoming school year. When he is not doing those things he is at home enjoying time with his family.
