The Community Foundation of St Joseph County recently announced that Lilly Endowment Community Scholarships have been awarded to four high school seniors from the area. The awards provide for four-year scholarships and a book stipend for the Indiana college or university of their choice. One of the scholarships has been awarded to Indonesia Brown, of John Adams High School.
Indonesia is a former Innovative Thinkers Camp participant. Students have until March 1, 2018 to formally accept the scholarship. Awards are based on academic excellence, leadership, community service, employment history, written essays, personal recommendations, financial need, under-representation, and whether the student is first generation of her or his family to attend college. Indonesia's leadership skills and innovative thinking was enhanced by attending the Innovative Thinkers Camp.
